Edit line, sustainable and circular swimwear

Circular Economy

The Edit line of sustainable and circular swimwear has again been produced for the 2023 season with RadiciGroup’s REPETABLE© yarn. An innovative polyester yarn obtained through a post-consumer recycling process of PET bottles. Its technical and performance characteristics give the fabric, produced by Tiba Tricot, and therefore the Edit swimwear collection, numerous advantages, as well as being environmentally friendly.

Edit swimsuits are designed according to the principles of ecodesign: single-component, made with recycled yarn, durable and with the possibility of being recycled at the end of the product’s life cycle. To ensure coherence with the innovation and sustainability content of this product line, the advertising photos were taken during the M.A.R.E. Mission (Marine Adventure for Research & Education). The aim is to illustrate to YAMAMAY customers precisely how beauty, quality, sustainability and innovation are the fundamental pillars of the development of this unique line in terms of its special characteristics.

Since wearing Edit means being able to stay in contact with nature and with the sea with a product with reduced impacts, it was decided to use the same fabric to create the t-shirts for the M.A.R.E. Project ONE Catamaran Team, as well as those for the RS21 Italian and world championship. The feedback received from athletes was absolutely positive as far as these activities are concerned, both in terms of functional performance (it washes at low temperature and air dries quickly), as well as in terms of aesthetics and comfort.
